I live in VA (obviously) and I have an NFA trust. My dad and brother are trustees in said trust. They live in Ohio.

Scenario: My brother buys a CZ Scorpion EVO1 Pistol. Is it possible for him to file a Form 1 under my (our?) NFA trust and "manufacture" an SBR in Ohio?

Before you ask why my dad and brother on trustees: It's quite possible I could be end up overseas or in an unfriendly to NFA state - so any NFA items would ultimately be relocated to either one of their residences until I'm back in the US in a NFA friendly state.

John did my Trust a couple of weeks ago. Solid guy. I would venture to say no because the Trust is in Va and the SBR is in Ohio and it would need BATFE form 5320.20

I emailed with John on Friday - believe it or not the address doesn't matter when it comes to the trust. If my brother was to "manufacture" an SBR on a Form 1 the engraving would be ____ Arms Trust, ______, OH. Then the Form 1 would have his signature (digital) as the trustee. The SBR is "registered" in the state where it was manufactured - Ohio in this case.

No Form 20 needed unless it leaves Ohio to come visit its cousins in VA. :P
