Looking for tips for new concealed carry permit

I'll have my first CCP soon. This is to cover me for keeping pistol in truck and for (rare) concealed carry on my person. Mostly looking for tips concerning aspects of state and local laws that the average new person may not understand.
I'm less interested in tips over proficiency - not that I discount training, just firearm handling not the focus on this topic.
Thanks for any advice

IMHO, you would be shocked how many people you meet daily are armed, but not advertising. Best of luck
