i wonder how much money is generated by hunting license fees? anyone got a ballpark figure? i spent $82 i believe, not counting the 6 quota hunts i applied for, which was another $45. And I didnt buy a duck or goose stamp. So i am sure it is a huge amount of money.

That's okay, considering the horse industry in Virginia generates $65.3 million in state and local taxes, with more than 50 percent of that representing state taxes. So we really don't need your support. I find it odd you are so angry Rabauser...

Nothing personal, but if your group of equestrians is going to fight against practicing my sport freely, then I will be at odds with yours. I pictured the proper way to hunt foxes.

my first source claims that $11,437,000 of money for conservation of wildlife and property is generated each year from the sales of hunting, trapping, and fishing licenses in the state of Virginia. I think we deserve to decide what our land is used for on Sundays....

thanks for the info, of course that doesnt account for the money spent on clothing, firearms, ammunition, or any other hunting supplies that adds to the taxes collected as well. So i think it is safe to say that hunters generate a great deal of money for the state as well.

We have received 11th hour notice that SB 464 will be heard TOMORROW MORNING in the Natural Resources Subcommittee. This is likely being done to kill the bill quietly without an audience. We need as many people as possible to attend AND WEAR A BLAZE ORANGE VEST TO SHOW SUPPORT. We also need everyone to call the subcommittee. Directions are below following the contact information for the subcommittee..

If have any questions about the hearing, or contacting your legislator, please call or email me at 804-771-5307 or Andrew@capresults.net.

Before tomorrow, please make every effort to have everyone you know call and email the subcommittee and voice their support for Sunday Hunting.
