Are you using Internet Explorer as your web browser? If so you might have a problem staying logged in. You might log in and it carries you back to the login screen.

Use Google Chrome http://google-chrome.en.softonic.com/
or
FireFox http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

They are free.

Trust me, you'll never us I.E. again after you use one of these.

If you insist on using Internet Explorer update to the latest version. I.E. 8 hasn't been friendly here on VaGT.

I just tried logging in from my laptop at work. Its been about 2 weeks since I used it. Firefox was already open when I turned on the laptop. I was unable to log on, kept taking me back to the main page. I closed firefox and reopened it, logged in no problem....strange!!

In firefox don't clear all... use the searchbox in the cookie tool and type vaguntrader. Delete all that show. I had to do that to be able to log in last night.

Chrome and IE both take me back to the main screen. Just started today.

This started happening to me today. I first thought it was my browser (firefox), until I noticed it happening on my Iphone as well.

**side note, I have been a member of another forum for 10 years and have never had to reset my browser....

I have to log on every time as well.

I think SD has some safety measure is place that may be causing us to have to log in every time.

I'll get him to address it....

similar here, Chrome doesn't work (work or home) but IE lets me get in. login page just pops repeatedly, no error message or anything.

If you can't login...

In Firefox click on Tools up top, then Options then choose the Privacy tab and choose Remove Individual Cookies In the Search box type in Vaguntrader. Highlight he first one and hold Alt-r and it will will remove them all quickly. You should have to do this once.

Okay...now it is getting really 3rd grade IT problem. I am logged in on one of my office computers which is running windows 7 and cannot log in on another office computer running XP. The Xp computer is the one I have been using for this site since May of this year. Here is an old adage which may be of assistance to the Admin...if it works don't fix it. Is it going to be refixed or do I just go elsewhere? There is nothing wrong with the computer. I am using chrome blah blah blah blah. It should not matter anyway. One of you guys turned off a switch...please turn it back on. You can see from the posts that this is not isolated.

Okay...I read it again and it still doesn't let me login on the computer I was using since May. I don't like having to play musical computers so if you guys cannot fix the problem please let me know and I will put you in touch with someone that can fix the problem. The problem isn't about reading your "Read This" post it is about a switch one of you has turned off.

+1, since you sound very demanding for using a free site and have only been a member a few months....

this worked for me !!! sd I stay logged on now.
I didnt do the 2nd half of it, couldnt quite figure it out.
I just did:
Tools
Options
Privacy
Remove individual cookies
Remove all cookies

Perhaps someone thats familiar with Internet Explorer and Google chrome can help with clearing out the cookies.

I did this for IE9:
http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/8395/ie9-how-to-delete-cookies-for-a-single-domain/

After I did it I couldn't stay logged in, once I restarted the computer everything works now and I don't have to log in every time I come to this site.
