Ok I heard that if your military you do not need the ccw course before registering but where do I go and what do I need to bring to apply im virginia beach 23455 Active duty but michigan resident Also how much is the fee and how long does the process take.

I don't know how much your county will charge you but in Stafford County the fee is 50 dollars and the permit is good for 5 years. The only documents I needed were my Military ID, A check for 50 bucks and proof of Firearms Qualification. In my case I just provided a copy of my DD214. In Stafford county it took me 10 minutes and then takes 30-45 days to receive your permit.
