i am on the verge of starting a gun trust and looking to get a suppressor. I shot my first one the other day and now i am hooked. I will be running it on a bolt 308 with a 16 inch barrel and a dpms lr308 with a 20 inch barrel. i was looking at the harvester it seems to be a good can for my application. (target, deer and coyote hunting) i am open to others as well. any input on affects on accuracy? as far as mounting both the guns have a2 style flash hiders so a direct thread on or maybe something that will fix to those flash hiders would work as well.

Do it! I have several.

Re: Selection of Cans.. If you want it to swap back and forth from one platform to another, you probably don't want a direct-thread on. (The harvester is a direct thread on, with the option for the "big bore" to use SilencerCo's ASR Mount). I say that for two reasons - 1) wear on the threads 2) having to reindex a flash hider on that DPMS every time you take the can off.

The make many, many suppressors with quick disconnect style mounts - these replace your flash hider / regular muzzle device.

As someone who thought similar to you on my last can (multiple platforms, bolt and semi-auto), I'm happy I went with the quick disconnect mount option over direct thread-on. If, however, I were buying the can to sit on one rifle, I'd have gone with something like the harvester in a heartbeat.

awesome! i just got my trust set up. i am leaning towards the yhm phantom m2 so i can run it on 308 and maybe 5.56 down road. unless i decide to go with a 5.56 at the same time haha

If you want a really awesome can, you should maybe look at the SilencerCo Saker 7.62. It's going to be a little more than the YHM M2 7.62, but it's arguably the best value can on the market. With the Trifecta compression mounting system, it's literally rock solid when it's on and point of impact shift is very little and repeatable. The can is made of material 30% stronger than Inconel, the material in most cans. It's also of a modular design with a removable mounting system and endcap.

If I'm not mistaken, the Saker 7.62 with the 5.56 end cap is actually quieter than the Saker 5.56.

Im deciding between the saker now and the yhm m2 phantom
I guess it comes down to wether or not u want a 5.56 can down the road. The saker costs more but the length to weight ratio is real nice
