Good luck finding either.

In .44 mag, I've had better accuracy with Lil' gun. I don't know if that will be applicable to the .300, though.

Previous poster poses a good question, 296/H110 is generally not very good performing for reduced loads. It is strictly a high-performance powder.

I've had exceptional results with 10gr of H110 or W296 making 220gr subsonic loads at up to 100yards. It also works great for 150gr supersonics at the same ranges.

I've also heard LilGun works great, but cant find any.

I'd love to have the luxury of choice of powder, but these days "works well enough" seems to be the gold standard.

Took a 140lb doe with a 220gr subsonic loaded with W296 through an AR and suppressor this season with no issues. Didn't even spook the other two does I didn't know were nearby until I moved up to collect it.

H110/296 (they are the exact same powder, just with a different sticker on the bottle). 110 V-max over 19.5 grains = 2410 FPS out of my 16" AAC Handi + YHM Phantom. I also have a 220 sub load with 296 but can't remember it off the top of my head (9.4 maybe?).
