I do not clam to be a 1911 expert but... Pictures would help the most.

If you cant post pics. Here are some questions. Any guess on age? Series 70 or series 80 slide? Blued, stainless, or park? Internal or external extractor? What cut for sites? Does the barrel actually seem "fit" for that slide or are they just "together".

Again I am no expert just trying to point the boat in the right direction.

Federal and essex back in the mid 80's to mid 90's made parkd slides for the 1911. No brand names, no insp marks. I purchased quite a few to have spares.

In addition, late 80's, Safari arms came out with a gi version of their matchmaster, basically a matchmaster frame under an unmarked federal or essex slide.

Both by the way are of good quality. In 1992 I built a 1911 using an unmarked federal slide and a caspian frame, as of last thurs its had 84,783 rounds through it from ball to jhp, but no +p, and its as good as gold. Been re-parkd twice, out now for cerakote.
