A couple weeks back i had planned on selling a firearm to Bill after he committed. Life happens, I most of all understand that, but when you commit to something, I expect folks to follow through......pending emergencies, financial hardship, etc.

I was torn on posting since I am relatively new to the site and Bill appears to have outstanding feedback.....but it has really been eating at me; especially since I held the gun for Bill through 3-5 other interested buyers and when Bill finally informed me that he didn't want it, all potential buyers were no longer interested.

I'm a simple human being.....a sorry from Bill would have killed the whole issue for me.

How convenient where are the other texts you told me I was 2nd inline you would let me did you forget this part at least tell the truth

BLUF: Bill did nothing wrong, I did nothing wrong......purely a huge mis-communication.

I originally believed that Bill had flaked out after committing. As such, I posted the feedback above based on the information I had at the time.

However, after Bill continued to insist he was right (and seeing he had about five pages of rock solid feedback), there had to be another explanation and so I dug a little further.

I found a text sent to me in the same 2 week period that I was talking back and forth with Bill from an unknown email (at the time I thought it was another buyer....I had replied to a whole bunch of folks requesting pics)

Bill had mistakenly messaged me from his email instead of from his cell number. Since Bill had never given me this email or referenced it, I didn't realize it was Bill.

I essentially I told Bill that I was unable to sell the pistol to him because I was holding it for him. He in turn thought I had sold it out from under him to someone else and on the day we were supposed to meet I believed he was flaking out on the sale.

Pretty amusing once you step back and look at it

I've been in comms with Bill, I reached out to him about what I discovered a couple days ago. We both apologized for the miscommunication and parted on good terms. He is a good man and I hope to have an opportunity to deal with him again.
